It’s common knowledge that mainland Australia’s most easterly point has a certain ‘majesticness’ about it. For those of us who have been lucky enough to pass through this little touch of heaven, it is pretty safe (and yes, cheesy) to assume that each of us have left a little piece of our hearts (and in my case, dignity) floating in the shores of Byron Bay.
There’s something about this coastal paradise that challenges our ego and loosens our inhibitions from the moment we arrive. Could it be the aura embedded in the grass and the sand? The vibrant and colourful shopfronts of Jonson Street? The infinite drums and plucking of guitar strings from the street performers? Or is it the alluring positive energy of the people that pass us by?
Whatever it is that makes Byron Bay, well… Byron Bay, there is one thing for certain. Happiness is inevitable when you wake up to views like this…
