Campervan Parking Airlie Beach

Every backpacker knows that when travelling the East Coast of Australia you simply cannot miss out stopping in Airlie Beach so you can go on a sailing trip around The Whitsundays. But where can you park if you’re travelling in a campervan? Campervan Parking in Airlie Beach can be found right in the centre of town!

If you are a ‘vanpacker‘ it’s important to be aware that in many places it’s illegal to park up and sleep in your van overnight. And of course if you’re going on a sailing trip for a few days you don’t want to come back and find an empty space where your campervan used to be because you were towed away. Even if you haven’t parked illegally, you won’t necessarily have access to a good toilet or shower when staying in your camper before or after your trip, and you certainly don’t want to be the type of backpacker being slated in the press for having a poo next to the road or outside someones house!

So instead of being ‘that guy’ stay somewhere that is suitable. And if possible stay somewhere where you also have access to showers, toilets, kitchens and laundry facilities (it’s nice after using a camping stove for months on end!). If you stay somewhere like Nomads Airlie Beach you’ll also have access to the swimming pools and the bars, so you can mingle with a few other backpackers or campers like yourselves.
