Bangkok is one of the world’s top tourist attractions. It does not come as a surprise that Thailand’s capital hosts millions of overnight visitors in a single year. This is because there is quite enough that Bangkok offers to its visitors, ranging from night markets, shopping malls, shrines, and Art Galleries that exhibit Thailand’s rich historical heritage. Your visit, however, would be incomplete if you leave without experiencing the famous Bangkok nightlife.

Bangkok at night is rarely forgettable. There is a myriad of things to do for fun. Some of the things that you can do include;
1. Visit Sky Bars
For backpackers who’d love to enjoy a drink as they take a glimpse of the beautiful Bangkok sunset, then rooftop bars in Bangkok are the places to visit. These sky bars place you on sky-high levels that bring you closer to a clear view of skyscrapers and the sun as it sets.
Rooftops in Bangkok are very accommodating for all kinds of travellers from different economic classes. When you visit rooftop bars in Bangkok, some rooftop dining also makes the fun night complete. Meals, cocktails, and a variety of sundowners will make your night much more exciting. An example of such bars is the Cielo Sky Bar & Restaurant which serves affordable food and drinks with beautiful views of Bangkok at night.
2. Shop at Night in Bangkok’s Night Markets
Your visit to Bangkok should be complemented by the night markets. Doing some shopping in these markets not only offers you a cheaper and diverse range of products but also enables you to have first-hand interaction with the Bangkok locals. Among the popular night markets are the Rot Fai Night Market, Srinakarin and Chatuchak Weekend Market.
In addition to the entertainment featured in these markets and the sale of vintage products, there are extraordinary opportunities to bargain more at night than during the day. There are also bars in the markets where you can relax and enjoy a drink until late in the night.
3. A Night of Live Jazz Music
If you who love music you have your interests represented in Bangkok. Some of the most gifted artists from Bangkok and other parts of the world gather together in Jazz pubs and bars to satiate your music hunger. Performing in bands, these talented jazz music artists will ensure that you have a night of classy and cool music.
4. Watching Muay Thai Fighting Matches
Every night there are around nine fighting matches among professional fighters. The fights combine both martial arts and entertainment performances. You can experience a night of fun at Rajadamnern Fighting Stadium and MBK Fight Nights. These fight nights will give you a chance to see the famous Muay Thai fighting skills and get to interact with Bangkok citizens as well.
5. Ride the Ferris Wheel at Asiatique
Bangkok hosts one of the tallest Ferris Wheels at Asiatique. Riding on it will give you the most incredible view of the city. You’ll also have a glimpse of Chao Phraya River. The wheel at Asiatique is surrounded by malls and restaurants which you can visit afterwards to enjoy the rest of the night and have a night snack or a meal.
