The Best Cheap Shows at the Festival

The Big Show is a great show to check out, the most expensive listed here but it’s a 2 hour show featuring four international comedians who are debuting at the NZ International Comedy festival. This years comedians are all Edinburgh Fringe Festival ‘heroes’ – Lauren Pattison, Fin Taylor, Phil Wang and Ian Smith. Tickets are $49.50. Throughout May, Rangatira at Q Theatre Auckland at 8.30pm (cheaper for a group of 6 or more).

Big Wednesday – $15 for 10 comedians! You’ll see a range of local and international headlining acts as well as some rising stars. Wednesday nights, 10pm at The Classic in Auckland.

Class Comedians showcases a range of professionally trained high school comedians that have passed their test and made it to the big stage! Tickets for Wellington and Auckland both on 19th May 5pm are just $24.90.

Raw Meat Monday – Only $10 and this night could be a bit of a gamble as it’s open mic night! Yup that’s right, no professionals here, but you’re pretty much guaranteed a few laughs, hopefully not at the comedians expense. Mondays at The Fringe Bar in Wellington from 8pm.
