Best Way to Explore Brisbane on the Cheap!

Back in the late 90’s and early 2000s, there were several backpackers flocking to Brisbane to enjoy their Australian adventure. It wasn’t uncommon to find British backpackers huddled up together in hostels, making their way up the Australian East coast whilst working away on farms. It was a good time where the they were getting $3 for every £1 converted. However, these days, the story is different.

Brisbane is still an iconic city to visit, but it isn’t as cheap as it used to be. That shouldn’t be a deterrent for visiting the city and enjoying the experience as much as possible. Here are a few interesting ways to explore Brisbane on the cheap.

Perched on Brisbane’s riverside, you can opt to visit the man-made beach at Southbank Parklands. The venue has real beach sand and crystal blue waters perfect for keeping cool in the summer. Attending Southbank beach is free, so grab your beach towel and head on down.
