Fremantle Travel Guide

Fremantle is just a short drive from Perth (20km). The city is renowned for its architecture, including colonial-era buildings built by convicts, an old jetty and port, and prisons.

The Aboriginal name of the area is Walyalup, however most people refer to Fremantle as Freo

Fremantle, or Freo, as it is affectionately called by those in Western Australia is the place that brings quirkyness to the state. A small town 30 minutes south of Perth there is a lot going on and all of it pretty infamous.
