Coromandel Travel Guide

The minute you drive over the Tairua hills you are greeted by the most stunning peninsula not even a Rugby World Cup advert could make more appealing. The roads are winding over those hills, no beef, but the crisp fresh air is the purest I have smelt and the perfect way to get over any motion sickness.

No disrespect to Auckland, but you notice it the moment you step out of the car, with a finish of beautiful lavender. Add to that, sitting on a nice patio with a couple of special people (which I had the pleasure of having on my first visit) and watching the stars is probably my favourite thing.

Hahei is one of those places that if you are pressed for time, you have to enjoy every moment of you can because before you know it your time in the area is over. The moment you get into Hahei, book a kayak trip with Cathedral Cove Kayaks. hahei

Hahei is the epitome of being outdoors, aside from many a holiday home and a general store there isn't much you can do indoors, which is inevitably why Hahei is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the stunning Coromandel Peninsula. Warm weather is not necessarily needed but it does make it just that little bit more special.
