Need Accommodation for groups in Auckland?
In Auckland we've got two hostels for you to choose from for your group accommodation.
We can help you to decide which is the better option for you depending on the size and requirements of your particular group. We have sports groups and school groups staying here year after year so I know the basic requirements that you're probably looking for. We also have hens and bucks groups staying with us (don't worry, we keep them apart from the school groups, normally in different hostels!) so whatever kind of group accommodation you're after, send me an enquiry!
About our two Auckland hostels:
Both of our hostels have a prime location, on Fort Street in downtown Auckland, located within walking distance to Britomart Transport Centre, the trendy Viaduct Harbour, Vector Arena, Sky City (and the skytower) and of course to all the shops and restaurants in the area (there are loads!). I'll even let you know the best places to eat or drink around here if you need some tips.
Nomads Auckland has a variety of accommodation ideal for groups of all sizes. We supply a range of private rooms each with its very own ensuite & TV for group leaders or small or large dorms for the group itself. With a Spa and Sauna, 24 hour reception, security key card access, on-site bar & restaurant, a large spacious kitchen and 24 hour Internet access.
Nomads Fat Camel is located just a 5 minute walk from Vector Arena and is ideal for a group looking to come to Auckland for concerts and shows. With it's apartment style accommodation, shared facilities, 24 hour reception, on-site bar & cafe and 24 hour Internet access, this hostel is great for groups who want to have their own private space.
*Depending on the size of your group we can offer your group leader (or driver) a private, ensuite room with a TV for no additional cost whatsoever... yes it's FREE!
I've been living and working here in Auckland now for 5 years and it's my responsibility to provide assistance to the groups that stay with us. So let me help you by taking the stress out of the organising! I can also let you know about things to do in Auckland, help you with your transport to and from the airport (if you need it) and, as mentioned above, help you to decide which of our two hostels is the better option for you.

Rooms are clean and functional for the students as are the bathrooms and kitchen area. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble, and when you have so many students I really appreciated this... an example is to provide us the teachers with an extra card for each room so that we could have access to where the students room etc...
Thanks for all your help and I look forward to seeing you again in 2015.
I’m very happy to provide some feedback. We receive such great service from you, your staff and Nomads in general and it keeps us coming back. In particular, I greatly appreciate your flexibility, especially when we often have to change our booking several times when our numbers fluctuate or we get more girls or guys than expected. You’re very patient with us!!
I wouldn’t choose anywhere else in central Auckland for our SFS groups. By the way, your dry hostel policy is very, very important to us. Without that, we would be unable to have staff and students stay in the same hostel (our organisation’s policy) and I probably wouldn’t choose to stay in central Auckland with these groups.
