Energy Workshops in the Eco Garden

by admin on 9 April, 2012

Last Wednesday Nomads Arts Factory Lodge resident Spiritual healer Denise put on an Energy Workshop. The workshop was designed to teach people about and bring awareness to Chakras and Aura’s, how to see them and feel them. Denise held the workshop in our own private Eco garden at the rear of the Arts Factory Lodge camping ground for $10 per person. Due to the amazing response to the program, Denise has decided to run the Workshop weekly from 12.30pm.

The workshop went for about one and a half hours, starting firstly with a small guided meditation. Denise explained to our group the different Chakras of the body and the beliefs surrounding the non-scientific topic and what they stood for.

We were then taught some basic techniques on how to see and feel energy fields.

One of the easiest method for feeling energy for the first time is to rub your hands together, then pull apart slowly, leaving a gap of about 10cm. This should result in feeling a heat zone between your hands.

Along with being informative the workshop brought about great laughs. One of our funniest moments was when we got to sense the body’s positive and negative energies. This process required the use of dowsing rods. Dowsing is an ancient practice used for finding hidden things. Energy fields radiate from people’s bodies, so when someone thinks positive thoughts their energy field expands; negative thoughts reduce the energy fields. Dowsing sticks somehow are able to tune into energy fields forcing the rods to move in a certain directions. Each one of us was able to see the effects of positive and negative thoughts as we took it in turns on each other, which was very interesting.

The workshop ended with Denise performing a little bit of Reiki on everyone who attended.
