World Famous Byron Bay Lighthouse

Byron Bay is a very popular and well known place because of the whole atmosphere the town has. One of the most well known attractions is Byron Bay lighthouse. Byron Bay is perfect for surfers, and not as touristy as the Gold Coast and that is the reason why it is so popular with most backpackers, it’s much more laidback and relaxed than many tourist spots on the East Coast and not as overcrowded.

Byron Bay is a place where backpackers can drop their bags and chill for a couple of days in the Arts factory Backpackers lodge, go for a surf, hang around and meet lots of other backpackers but you can’t come here and not visit the lighthouse. Alternatively you can go up for a walk to the lighthouse. Once you’re at the top you can see the sunrise from the most eastern point of the Australian mainland and when the sun has risen it’s quite common to see dolphins.
