It must be a new AFL record: 22 original songs at this week’s Arts Factory Talent Show. There was heaps of cheering because we all knew who has the ‘X Factor’…
Cocka has it, Jason too, Kaz only on clear nights, Joel and Rory when a uke is handy, Luca when his fingers are not too cold, and even Skitzey in his kilt, Cameron too, and definitely Jessy every week with something new, James Kangaroo when he’s not playing with his snake, and we all know Tilly’s got it, Eric the poet too, and Rasmus even when he can barely stand up, Ryan when he’s got his groove on, Billy from the second she walks into the room, Jack only when asked by a pretty girl, Rodrigo when the spirit moves him, and even Michelle when she bothers to come visit us kids every couple of years.
