Dreamworld is a family theme park that offers rides and attractions for all ages. Growing up as a child from a small country town in Victoria, Dreamworld was always the holiday away I looked forward to every year. With a wide range of attractions there's never a dull moment.
So my day started bright and early, I was so excited I felt like a little kid in a candy shop. But I'll have to be honest it's been a while since I've been on rides and been blasted into the air at a rapid speed of 161km an hour so I knew it was going to be a long day of constant nausea, but oh well what can you do.
I started off my day with a ride on the the claw and all I could think was what kind of twisted person would want someone to go through that, it's just sick; meanwhile right beside me my partner sat there with the biggest smile on his face, somehow I didn't quite get it.
I also went on the tower of terror. This ride is perfectly named - yes I was terrified!
After going on numerous rides and seeing all the attractions Dreamworld had to offer, my partner and I decided to sit down for lunch (a very late lunch at 4.00pm); after sitting there tossing up whether I should go on the giant drop or not I finally worked up the courage and began waiting in line. After a 25 minute wait there were still at least 30 people waiting before us then all of a sudden the lady shouted out "2 spots left", "have we got 2 that want to go on".
Sitting there playing tetris on my partners phone all relaxed, I hear a "yeah sure, us here" my partner Andrew had just nominated us to jump on with out any warming up!!! My stomach sank so low I felt like I was going to vomit over everyone on the ride. As I sat in my seat and got buckled in I let Andrew know that I was going to kill him after we hopped off. Being held 39 stories in the air is not my idea of fun especially seeing as I have a fear of heights.
They had us sitting there for around 30 seconds then without notice they dropped us, my stomach felt like it was in the air it was the most horrible experience ever. But now I can stand here today and say I've been on the SCARIEST ride ever!!
